We've just finished renovating our Sydney townhouse with lush designer colours and comfy leather sofas and beautiful polished floors. It's two story, downstairs is kitchen/lounge/dining & balcony with city views across to Centrepoint Tower (http://sydneytower.myfun.com.au/), upstairs are 2 large bedrooms (master is airconditioned - vital in summer). Living & dining area also air-conditioned. Guestroom is large and has a cross trainer & some hand weights also (if hiking around town is not enough!). If you are very lucky the upstairs bathroom will be renovated by Christmas (with a spa bath) - but serviceable now.

![]() Our neighborhood
We are 30 minutes gentle stroll into the heart of Sydney. Just 5 minutes to the fine dining restaurants on Woolloomooloo wharf, 5 minutes to the vibrant village atmosphere of Potts Point (cafes/shops/supermarkets/cheap eats/deli/gym/markets), 5 minutes to the nightclubs & bars of Kings Cross (and trains/buses to the city, beaches etc)... We are very, very, central! If you chose to rent a car for some or all of your stay - the car rental agencies are just a 5 minute walk from home. We get partial views of NY fireworks from the balcony... but great, free, vantage points are within walking distance. Great waterfront jogging/walking throughout the botanic gardens... 50 minute gentle stroll to the Opera House, Harbour Bridge (www.bridgeclimb.com) & Circular Quay (for access to harbour ferries - including to Taronga Zoo for koala viewing! (www.taronga.org.au) It's possible to access everything Sydney has to offer from this location - jump on a bus to Bondi Beach and have a go at surfing - Horseriding, rollerblading, cycle hire are all available in Centennial Park - maybe a $10 cab ride away (www.centennialparklands.com.au) Pretty much everything that you can't (or don't want to walk to) - is within a $10-15 cab ride. Wouldn't recommend our place if stairs are an issue - also not suitable for children. Boy Charlton outdoor swimming pool is a 10 minute stroll & they also hold yoga classes there - it's in Woolloomooloo Bay (www.abcpool.org) Something about ourselves
We're in our late 30s - New Zealand born Administrator (Vivienne) and Australian Navy chef (James). We plan on travelling the world in a couple of years - but can't wait that long... Have travelled in Asia over the last few years. We have an adorable indoor cat (Tasha) who sleeps 23 hours a day and will give you a nudge if she needs love and a head scratch - except when photos are being taken... that's why she appears in so many - we would very much like to exchange with cat/animal lovers around the world - so she isn't reliant on the daily visit from the cat sitter. Looking to spend Christmas 2010 either skiing or at a beautiful tropical beach... perfect world! ![]()
